Ayana Major Bey, a dynamic and soulful performer, lit up the stage in her debut solo cabaret, "In Pursuit of Joy," in New York City. Scheduled for one night only, this vibrant performance took place at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at The Green Room 42. Ayana guided the audience through a nostalgic journey designed to rekindle the innate joy we all possess, featuring an eclectic mix of Pop, R&B, Jazz, and hits from Broadway shows like "Sister Act" and "After Midnight." Her infectious energy evoked the exuberance of a family cookout, inspiring all to reconnect with their playful spirit. She was joined on stage by featured/background singers Reggie Bromell, Kristina Love, and Krystal Mackie, as well as guitarist Claudio Raino, Drummer Brett Beiersdorfer, and Pianist/MD Kevin Winebold, respectively.
